Lost Coast Swim is a boutique swimwear line dedicated to providing high-quality, stylish swimwear. I was initially brought on to develop their e-commerce platform and craft a strategic marketing plan. However, my role expanded, allowing me to expand my expertise in e-commerce, product development, marketing, and operations to launch and manage the brand effectively.​​​​​​​
Situation
Originally hired to spearhead the development of their e-commerce platform and craft an effective marketing strategy, the project evolved into a comprehensive role involving product development, marketing, and operations.

Task
My role expanded beyond graphic design to include building the brand’s e-commerce platform and social media presence. I was responsible for creating branding materials, developing the website, and managing marketing campaigns. Additionally, I took the lead in strategizing and managing social media to drive brand awareness and engagement. Each aspect of my role required producing clean, simple, and chic designs that resonated with the target audience, establishing the company as a distinctive and high-quality swimwear brand.

Actions
Product Development & Branding: Conducted competitor and consumer research to identify market gaps and craft targeted strategies. Led product development, from sourcing high-quality fabrics to creating tech packs, sampling, and prototyping. Designed cohesive branding, packaging, and sourced materials.

Website Development & Optimization: Launched a user-friendly Shopify e-commerce site, integrating payment gateways, quick purchase options, and detailed product descriptions. Enhanced the customer experience with mobile optimization, a comprehensive size guide, and clear policies.

Marketing Campaigns & Social Media Management: Organized two destination photoshoots, managing all logistics from hiring photographers to sourcing models. Developed and managed a social media content strategy for Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, including a media content library.

Advertising & Promotions: Managed ad campaigns across key platforms, driving targeted traffic to the site. Conducted market analysis and customer surveys to refine marketing efforts according to consumer preferences.

Results
I successfully helped launch Lost Coast Swim’s e-commerce platform, creating a professional and appealing online presence that drove initial sales. I grew the Instagram account from under 1,000 followers to over 10,000 within months, significantly enhancing brand visibility. On TikTok, I boosted engagement, with average video views increasing from 2,000 to over 60,000, driving more traffic to the website and resulting in higher sales. I streamlined the production process, ensuring a smooth launch of the swimwear line with minimal delays. Additionally, I enhanced the customer experience on the website, increasing overall conversion rates.
